Honey, I Swear! tells the comedic story of a man's excuse to his wife after being caught having what he describes as an accidental romantic escapade, with a stripper.

The song tells the sad story of a once in a lifetime love lost through tragedy and of how our protagonist remembers her in his own special way. Once he becomes aware that her ghost haunts him, they are eventually reunited through his own untimely passing, eternally together and happily ever after.
